Abstract
e Monetary Ordering process projected in Cuba in recent years, and its recent even,
that took place in January 2021, constitutes the epicenter of important transformations in
the economic, commercial and nancial order in the country. Making the process a viable
one has motivated the approval of regulatory provisions in several areas. In the judicial
sphere, Instructions No. 256 and 257 of the Governing Council of the Supreme People’s
Court were recently issued, essentially aimed to settle down the minimum amount to access
the economic court rooms for non-compliance of the payment obligation derived from an
economic contract. In this sense, the main objective of this article is to share a set of criteria
that allow the content of the Instructions to be interpreted in tune with current times; all
this, based on a comparison with the rules that they derogated.
