RESUMEN: El presente trabajo expone la toma de notas con una mirada desde la ciencia, la tecnología y la

sociedad, y muestra cómo puede tributar al perfeccionamiento y la elevación de la calidad del egresado, tanto

del Curso de Acceso a la Educación Superior de la Facultad de Español para No Hispanohablantes como de

las carreras o maestrías en Cuba. El objetivo es explicar la toma de notas como habilidad, su importancia para

la apropiación de los contenidos, y sus impactos sociales, económicos y políticos. Se emplearon los métodos

teóricos: histórico-lógico, análisis y síntesis, e inducción-deducción; y los métodos empíricos: el estudio

documental, la observación y la consulta a expertos. Los resultados muestran que la toma de notas ayudará a

un mejor desempeño de los estudiantes durante sus estudios en Cuba, generará impactos que aportarán

beneficios cualitativos y cuantitativos a la sociedad e implicará cambios significativos en el proceso de

enseñanza-aprendizaje.

ABSTRACT: In this paper it is proposed to explain the note- taking with a view of science, technology and

society, to show how it can contribute to the improvement and elevation of the quality of the graduate, both in

the Access to High er Education of the Faculty of Spanish for Non-Spanish Speakers as well as of the careers

or masters in Cuba. The objective is to explain note-taking as skill, its importance for the appropriation of

content; and its social, economic and political impacts. Theoretical methods were used: histological-logical,

analysis and synthesis, induction-deduction and the empirical methods: the documentary study, the

observation and consultation of experts. The results show that the note- taking will help students to perform

better during their studies in Cuba and will generate impacts that will bring qualitative and quantitative benefits

to society and will involve significant changes in the teaching-learning process.
